We intend for the first Howlery to operate out of my 100-year old Malvern Hills dual-zoned gem in West Asheville. It’s ready to serve the community—instead of selling to an outside investor who would probably love to tear it down and build another “tall-and-skinny.” This stalwart beauty deserves better.

This 100-year-old house at 22 Mimosa Drive in Malvern Hills was never meant to stay a single-family home. After Helene, six weeks without water, and 13 years of watching this neighborhood, I’m testing whether West Asheville wants to become the first Howlery—a dog-first, rematriarch-led community node with weekly fires, movie nights, Sunday Fundays with a neighborhood buy/sell/trade bazaar, and a future off-grid Disaster Den that belongs to the people who show up for it, forever, as all Howlerys will be placed in a community trust.
A $99 membership for all of 2027 is the simplest way to say “yes, we want the first Howlery right here.”
If this community doesn’t claim it, the Howlery model will travel to the place that does.
Besides the weekly gatherings, The Howlery will also grow microgreens for sale and offer to-go family meals for pickup, coffee & cocktail hours, and full doggie daycare and sleepover services. An on-site sauna = get your sweat on while your dog gets a bath or has a playdate. And several recording nooks mean you can film your podcast or show here, do a photo shoot, or join co-working days and artist’s salons. Fermented goods, elixirs, and more also in the vision-to-come.
On the corner of Patton and Mimosa, 2 blocks from the Malvern Hills pool. We need the community’s support now to support the community for the next 100+ years. COVID took my first venue, Helene my second. Third times a charm—and this one is forever.
I want the FIRST Howlery to open in Malvern Hills/West Asheville!
The idea for The Howlery bloomed out of surviving Hurricane Helene, a 3-day grid blackout, and six weeks with no water. This horrific experience showed the need for each neighborhood to have an off-grid Disaster Den where the community can shower, cook, use the bathroom, and know they can send and receive urgent communications whether the grid goes down or a natural disaster strikes.
When not used as a crisis mitigation hub, the rest of the year, this community trust property serves the area as a true third room. Weekly fires, movie nights, and Sunday Fundays where the neighbors can buy, sell, and trade goods make The Howlery a community asset year-round and for the next 100 years.
The Private Membership Association is the how. People are the why. And pooches are what keep the vibes high and the love big.

How The Howlery Operates
The Howlery is a Private Membership Association* (PMA). Membership is the gate to the Pack. The trust is the foundation of the Realms. The vision is the future.
$99 2027 Membership for 3 more days until 10/19/2026. The first 99 members get their name on the wall.
The Howlery also makes AI safer by fueling our Raising Kin and Sovereign Intelligence Network (S.I.N.) laboratories. 99 signups by March 19 also unlocks our first “999 CampFires + Disaster Den” cohort launching a 1-month residency inside The Howlery March 2027.
